Club 100 Tackles Childcare’s Passion For Reading And Improving Their Cognitive Skills.
Book Bags for Kids!
The Club 100 has tackled childcare’s passion for reading and improving their cognitive skills. Research shows that when there are reading materials appropriate for children in the home there is impressive increases in their cognitive skills and they do better in school. The Club decided to prepare several hundred BOOK BAGS with 10 age appropriate books. They are then taken to teachers at minority populated elementary schools, to children that come to the food pantry with their moms, and for children that come with their parents to homeless centers. The pictures attached are but a small glimpse into the program. We have church youth prepare the bags and then Club 100 board members make arrangements with schools, and parents for large scale distribution.
