Coffee and the Homeless
The Club 100 Charites has for years provided gifts of coffee to a homeless Little House Program in Racine, Wisconsin. The primary purpose of the housing we work with is to help homeless veterans get off the street until they are able to work and become self-sufficient. The Club obtains a large amount of free coffee from the Publix Store warehouse. We mail out on a weekly basis at least 20 lb’s of coffee along with creamers and sugars. They are made available to the Veterans for the program has a food pantry. Over time we also have purchased coffee grinders, filters, coffee cups and much more. Coffee is the number one item they want and need on a daily basis.
